The earring backs continuously kept coming off. I ended up losing one of the earrings all together due to it slipping off without me noticing. I ordered earring backs off of amazon and have used those to keep on the single one that I have left. All that being said, it's super cute and I adore the color. It's bigger than I thought it would be and initially that bothered me; but I've come to love it. I get lots of compliments on it. On a side note, it took quite awhile to get to me. I mention this because it may be a deterrent for others. For my purposes there was no rush and I had no problem waiting. Long story short...if you are getting it for a costume you'll be content as long as you get it fairly far ahead of time. If you intend to wear it long term (as I do) I'd recommend getting your own earring backs.
